Two girls on the water at the Santa Fe Country Club
Description
The door on the left side led to a meeting room. They used to have railroad union meetings in here, but it was used for many things.
This building and the property was donated to the City of Marceline BEFORE the building burned down.
Kids used to try to jump off the 2nd floor patio into the water - BUT, the water was only waist deep, so you had to be careful not to break a leg.
The Lifeguard used to sit right behind where the girls are, on the patio.
Lois Wolfe was one of the lifeguards there.
